Good Morning Happy Cleansers!
How are we feeling today?
Day 3 can be a bit of a challenge, but those unwanted coffee headaches should soon be easing off .
Detoxing Tips
1) Remember to start the day off with warm lemon water to flush the kidneys and alkalize the body.
2) Chew your food 8-12 times and eat slowly. Take a deep breath in between each bite (this is alkalizing to the body)
3)Sip on water during meals but try not to exceed 4 oz. You want to dilute your digestive enzymes just enough to get the food down smoothly but not drown them out so they won't due their job properly.
4)Drink plenty of purified water ( at least 8-10 cups per day) This is essential throughout the program because it helps to flush out the many toxins that will be stirred up and eliminated from fat stores and organs in the body. Drinking adequate water will provide the necessary fluid for your body to push toxins out of your lymphatic system through the creation of lymph fluid.
* You may be feeling headaches, increased tiredness, and nausea at this time. This is the detox process beginning. Please don't get discouraged, these symptoms will soon subside and you will feel revitalized and full of energy! Try taking herbal teas with honey every 2-3 hours until symptoms subside.*
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK EVERYONE....ITS WELL WORTH IT!
I have a question. I have not had any headaches, any excess tiredness, none of the symptoms that are stressed in the beginning of a cleanse. I haven't even been really hungry. Am I eating too much? I start w/warm water & lemon, then a shot of wheatgrass, then the smoothie recipe you first provided (replaced almond milk & vega for hemp milk, hemp protein powder, spirulina & chlorophyll), then a plate full of raw veggies for lunch drizzled with olive oil & himalayan salt (once w/a drizzle of balsamic vinegar), then I usually munch on more veggies. That was it for day 1 & day 2 and last night I added the greek quinoa for dinner. Plus I'm drinking about 3 large glasses of the grail elixir throughout each day. I just don't feel that bad or that good. Is it not working on me? Am I doing something wrong? Please help! ;)
ReplyDeleteSounds to me like you are definitely on the right track. You may not have had a large toxic buildup to begin with. It is not a bad thing to be escaping such symptoms. Your diet sounds excellent, adding in spirulina and chlorophyll is fantasic. If you keep this up, your energy levels will soon be through the roof :) You are not doing anything wrong..keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteThanks Melissa! My goal for the ext few days is to add in some yoga or excerise, the detox baths & the dry brushing...maybe that will really push things in motion!
ReplyDeletep.s. my husband wanted to watch me do this first...then "maybe" try it with me next time. I was eating the greek quinoa last night when he asked for a bite. He thought it was one of the best things he'd ever had! He asked me to make him a big bowl of it. Kudos on the recipes so far!!
LOL..Thanks. I hope he will enjoy the rest of the recipes as well..:)
